Object Capability
Although related, this concept is different from Capability . In a true OCAP system, authority is just possession. If you hold the capability, you can use it. There are no identities and no signatures — it’s a runtime concept.
Object capabilities are a form of authority to perform specific actions on specific objects.
Example framing
❌ “This user has the Writer role”
❌ “This user has write permission”
✅ “This user has a capability that allows writing to this document”
