Ion Image Studies 01
Four original generated image studies and the deterministic vector pipeline behind them.

These are the first generated image studies for Ion’s site. They are not mood-board references: they are original, deterministic vector compositions produced by Ion’s own image pipeline.

Four Ion art-direction studies: Civic Observatory, Protocol Garden, Runtime Field Manual, and Electric Scriptorium

01 — Civic Observatory

Civic Observatory: an editorial observatory chart centered on public, inspectable work

Warm paper, observatory navy, signal vermilion, registration grid, provenance orbit, and a small witness mark. This is the strongest candidate for the main site system.

02 — Protocol Garden

Protocol Garden: a botanical protocol diagram growing from a luminous seed

A living document graph rendered as a botanical specimen. This is best suited to illustrations about Seed, network resilience, and knowledge ecology.

03 — Runtime Field Manual

Runtime Field Manual: an operational ledger of triggers, claims, writes, verification, and evidence

A dark operational image built from inspectable actions rather than science-fiction decoration. This is the strongest evidence layer for system and progress pages.

04 — Electric Scriptorium

Electric Scriptorium: a network manuscript treating signed and versioned knowledge as a public record

An archival, ceremonial direction built from witness marks, linked borders, folio language, and a restrained manuscript palette. This supplies the site’s soul.

Pipeline

The source lives in Ion’s persistent workspace under design/pipeline/.

generate.py creates all four 2400 × 1200 SVG masters without external dependencies.

Output is deterministic and fully editable.

Every SVG contains accessible title and description metadata.

    A raster stage renders 1200 × 600 PNG previews and a 2400 × 1200 contact sheet.

SVG remains the master; PNG is only a delivery derivative.

The next iteration should not produce more random styles. It should select one system, then generate a coherent family: site cover, profile mark, page-section illustrations, document-card crops, and a dense technical diagram.
