RPC method
The union of every Stem sync method, peer-to-peer and local, discriminated by the method key.
Fetching schema…

Part of Stem. This page defines rpc/method, the union of all methods of the sync RPC specification. A console or a code generator reads this one schema to learn every method, its input and its output.

The formal schema is attached as the schemaDefinition of this page.

The union of every Stem sync method, peer-to-peer and local, each variant pinning its method key and typing its input and output.

Rules

A value is a method call when it matches exactly one variant; the variants are closed structs with distinct key literals, so at most one can match.

Adding a method adds an arm here. Removing or changing one is a protocol change.

Today (HM24)

The Seed API work describes read methods with the same {key, input, output} struct and collects them in a union; the peer-to-peer surface is protobuf. Stem describes both surfaces this way.
